The first official meeting of the working group for the Judicial Indicator Matrix was held.
As part of the Component for Establishing and Implementing a Judicial Indicator Matrix, within the programme “Improving the Quality of Justice in Macedonia” supported by the British Embassy Skopje, on the 12th of October at the Hotel Solun, the first official meeting of the working group that will work on developing the methodology for implementing the Judicial Indicator Matrix was held. The working group is established by 1 International and 6 National experts.
As an International expert, the CLRA engaged Adis Hodzic from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Hodzic is a Senior Advisor at High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and has specialized in the area of Statistics and Research at Harvard University in the USA.
For the position of a National Senior Legal Expert, Judge Mirjana Lazarova Trajkovska, standing judge at the European Court of Human Rights is engaged. The rest of the team of legal experts is consisted of Lidija Stojkova Zafirovska, Zarko Aleksov and Aleksandar Godzo. As an expert in the field of methodology, the CLRA engaged Marko Trosanovski, as for the position and expert on economy and statistics, CLRA engaged Professor Katerina Shapkova.
Nikola Prokopenko and Slavica Zerajik were part of the meeting as external experts form the Ministry of Justice. They were specifically appointed for this activity by the Minister of Justices of Republic of Macedonia.
The timeline, next steps and activities of the working group for finalizing the Matrix of indicators were presented to all the present participants of the working group.
