Inspired by the new situation that directly affected the realization of guaranteed human rights and freedoms, the Center for Legal Research and Analysis independently prepared the analysis Challenges of the Judiciary in an emergency.
The analysis is structured to explain the functioning of the judiciary in three key aspects: the way it is organized, the handling of cases, and the communication with the public during an emergency. The data in the report was collected in the period of April-May 2020 by preparing and submitting electronic questionnaires to the presidents and court administrators of all basic and appellate courts, the Administrative Court, the High Administrative Court and the Supreme Court, to the President and the Secretary General of the Judicial Council and Director of the Academy for Judges and Prosecutors.
