MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION BETWEEN THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT AND THE CENTER FOR LEGAL RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS

On October 2nd 2017, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed in Skopje between the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Macedonia Nikola Ivanovski, and the President of the Center for Legal Research and Analysis Lidija Stojkova Zafirovska.

The signing took place at the opening of the event where the research “Visibility of the Constitutional Court when making decisions with a special focus when deciding on the protection of freedoms and rights of man and citizen” was presented.

The purpose of this Memorandum is to strengthen the existing cooperation between the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Macedonia and the Center for Legal Research and Analysis in the direction of achieving common goals and commitments.

The signatory parties agreed that they would cooperate in order to promote the independence and independence of judges, develop project ideas and their implementation according to needs, promote regional cooperation and strengthen court capacities, promote the principle of access to justice for all as well as fulfill international standards.

The Memorandum entered into force on the day of its signing, and given the need for continuous and essential cooperation between the signatory parties, it is not time-limited.
