Lidija Stojkova - Zafirovska – President of the Executive board,
Graduated in law, one of the initiators and founders of the Center in 2012. She has extensive experience in creating and implementing projects related to the rule of law and development of the democracy. She was one of the founders of the Macedonian Young Lawyers Association (MYLA) in 2003 and was president of the organization until the end of 2008, with two mandates. Lidija has worked and led several projects as a national and international expert, including the EU-funded project dedicated to the establishment of the Academy for Training of Judges and Prosecutors (2007-2009). In addition to her interest and expertise in law, Lidija has been working for more than 15 years as Senior Program Manager at the National Democratic Institute for International Relations (NDI) for support political institutions, organizations and individuals in North Macedonia to embrace the best democratic values and practices based on the experiences of developed democracies around the world.
Zarko Aleksov - Member
Graduated from the Faculty of Law in Skopje in 2001. He received his master's degree from the University of Bologna, Italy in 2003 and his doctorate from the Faculty of Law in Skopje in 2012. He has an EU Specialization in rule of law from the European Academy in Berlin, Germany. Zarko has worked for several international organizations, including the Institute for International Law, Washington DS, the EU Police Mission and the EU Police Advisory Team in Macedonia, the OSCE Spillover Monitor Mission to Skopje, SIDA, and the UNDP.
Еmil Miftari – Member
Lawyer, works in the law office of Emil Miftari. He has more than 15 years of experience in different areas of law. His main specialization is criminal law, judiciary and human rights, but he also actively works in several areas of civil law. Emil was often engaged as lecturer for young lawyers, focusing his training on the content and legal effects of the European Convention for human rights and the ECHR process of application. Emil Miftari was one of the founders of the CLRA in 2012, and the same year he was appointed for the member of executive board. He was also the founder and activist in the Macedonian Young Lawyers Association (MYLA). Emil Miftari has extensive knowledge of the functioning of the legal and judicial system in North Macedonia.
Ivica Pepovski – Member
Graduated in law, expert in the cycle of project management. He has worked in the OSCE Mission in Skopje and is currently working in Wien as specialist for programs and budget in the UNIAEA. Ivica was one of the founders of the CLRA in 2012, and the same year he was appointed for the member of executive board. Ivica has extensive experience in international law and is well acquainted with the functioning of the EU and international standards for project work and implementation.
