On February 29, 2016, at the Holiday Inn in Skopje the second round table with civil society representatives on the topic: “Development of instruments for measuring the reforms in the judiciary” was held.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

The event was organized by the Center for Legal Research and Analysis within the project “Development of monitoring indicators for the justice sector performance”<\/a> <\/em>supported by the British Embassy Skopje<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n

The round table was attended by representatives of the civil society in the Republic of Macedonia working in the field of the judiciary. The round table was the second of the three planned to be held by the end of March 2016, on which representatives of various institutions and organizations dealing with this issue will be invited.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

On this event, the CLRAs comparative analysis \u201cMeasuring the progress of judicial reform: Key principles, standards and practices in Macedonia and 7 EU Member States: Croatia, Estonia, France, Hungary, Lithuania, Slovenia and United Kingdom\u201d<\/a> <\/em>was presented together with the web forum launched in February, that served for proposals and discussion of indicators and methodology to measure the reforms in the judiciary.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

The draft matrix for measuring the judicial reforms was presented by Reda Molien, the director of the National Court Administration of Lithuania, who was part of the team of international experts that drafted the comparative analysis. Jasna Bachovska, professor at the Faculty of Law \u201cJustinianus Primus\u201d in Skopje presented the methodology that was used to measure the judicial reforms.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Furthermore, presentations in the section on how to increase efficiency in measuring judicial reforms in Macedonia were held by Gordana Buzarovska, professor at the Faculty of Law \u201cJustinianus Primus\u201d in Skopje, and Zoran Necev, a researcher in the field of rule of law and the European Union.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
