Third official meeting of the working group for the development of a methodology for implementation of the Judicial indicator Matrix

The third official meeting of the working group for the Matrix of indicators for the judiciary was held.

Within the component, Establishment and Implementation of the Judicial indicator Matrix, as part of the program ‘’ Improving the quality of Justice in Macedonia’’ at the Marriott Hotel was held the third official meeting of the working group, who are working on the development of a methodology for implementation of the Judicial indicator matrix.

At the working meeting was presented the current work dynamics, which was primarily a reduction of the first draft matrix that was prepared within last year’s project of the Center, also supported by the British Embassy Skopje. After reducing the number of indicators, the legal team worked on redefining and reformulating the indicators, defining the areas covered by the Matrix, as well as setting the target groups that will be covered by this measurement. Meetings were held with the Supreme Court, the appellate courts, and of course the Judicial Council of the Republic of Macedonia in order to include all stakeholders, as well as the comprehensiveness of the areas that are a priority of the judiciary in Macedonia. In the past period, the methodologist and the statistician, in constant consultation with the international expert, prepared the draft methodology according to which the measurement should be conducted in order to obtain representative questionnaires.

The methodology for conducting the measurement was presented at the meeting and a discussion was opened on the best way to implement it.

The meeting was attended by Slavica Zherajikj from the Ministry of Justice as an external expert, as well as Judge Mirjanka Gocevska Stefanovska, member of the Judicial Council, and Mrs. Anita Andonovska, Secretary-General of the Judicial Council.
