Training on ,,The role and necessary skills of the tutors of newly elected and promoted judges” – in collaboration with AJPP

On November 6, 2023, the Center for Legal Research and Analysis, in cooperation with the Academy of Judges and Public Prosecutors, within the project ,,Improving the quality and responsibility of the Macedonian judicial sector”, held another training from the series of trainings on the topic, ,,The role and necessary skills of the tutors of newly elected and promoted judges”. This time the training was intended for the students of the VII generation in the AJPP in order for them to be familiar with the concept of tutoring and the opportunities it offers, the training was held in the premises of AJPP.

As already trained judges, their own presentations had: judge Ljubica Kolic from the Basic Civil Court – Skopje, who shared some of the comparative experiences, while judge Natalija Doneva – Basic Civil Court – Skopje made a distinction between the terms mentor and tutor, and in addition, judge Tanja Mileva from the Court of Appeal – Skopje spoke about the method and procedure for supporting the work of a newly elected judge by the court through authorized persons – tutors.

The aim of the training was to share the experiences of the already trained tutors (judges) who participated in the tutor training for newly elected and promoted judges, which was conducted by the Dutch judge and president of the court in Zwolle, the Netherlands Mr. Bert Mann and the specialist for the training of judges, Marina Naumovska – Milevska.

The training was an opportunity for the already trained judges to share their experiences with their younger colleagues, with the idea that they will take advantage of the knowledge and opportunities that such a program will offer.
